never heard the Hendrix piece before.... now I heard everything.... I actually had Jaco's amp in my apartment for a month in NYC waiting for him to come and get it. I rescued it from the Neither/Nor Club/Bookstore on 6th and Ave. B. He came and got it and the next thing I heard of him was that he was dead.
A shorter version was released on Nine To The Universe almost (gulp) 30 years ago, microdot. That new West Coast Seattle Boy boxset has some real gems on it, too.
Goddess bless Jaco...he was looking for the way out, and found it at last.
