A syncronicity of coincidence, m.yu...The title stems from the near-final scene in Top Gun, where 'Icerman' and 'Maverick' pick out china patterns together prior to embarking on a lifetime of togetherness.
My Dad flew back seat in the first squadron of the now retired F-14, VF-1. I lived near NAS Miramar, which is now MCAS Miramar. The Marine Corps had a record number of Helo losses and casualties in Iraq from that base.
