...only reflections of a shadow that I saw

David Crosby, Laughing, from one of my 'desert island discs', If I Could Only Remember My Name, 1971.

What Are Their Names?

Greetings from the Driftglass Comment Corner, DB!

I just wanted to say that your taste is truly impeccable if you can appreciate the nuances of an album as splendidly magical as If I Coulf Only Remember my Name.... Crosby had some pretty amazing help on that one, too, including most of the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane, some of Quicksilver Messenger Service and Santana...plus Joni Mitchell, Graham Nash and Neil Young! We're literally talking a Who's Who of legendary San Francisco musicians of the period.

Take care, be well...and I'll likely see you around the Glassman's establishment. (Think he'll become insufferable now that he's won his Weblog Award??)

Greetings, Angel of Mercy, and thank you.

Indeed, a stellar lineup, and immaculately recorded by Stephen Barncard - A companion piece perhaps being Blows Against The Empire by the troupe organized by Paul Kantner under the umbrella name of Jefferson Starship...both albums made by people for whom music has a deeper meaning than a healthy bank account.

As for the esteemed Driftglass - 'Honestly, I think we should just trust him in every decision he makes and should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens.'
