It will be a quarter century this year that I left Hollywood, and ran for my life to the wilderness.

db- based on my own experience, LALA land is most appreciated from afar.
Did I ever mention that when living in the UK, I broke down in tears during a movie where one on the chase scenes showed traffic on the fwy near Hollywood? This was a totally insane bout of homesickness.
And, I was born in Hollywood! Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital (little know factoid) hehe

I love L.A., always have...But in those days, it was life or death - or at least I thought so at the time.
I can never see the view south from Mulholland in a picture without a cascade of freeze-framed memories.

and, for those who don't know me, VG= "Valley Girl". Yes, db, I did come by it honestly!
