You're too smart for your audience. I recognize Obama, but who's the giant dude behind him? And what does the sci-fi setting mean? Illegal alien? Ok, now who's the giant dude behind him?
You think so, Utah? That's very kind of you (the 'too smart' remark), although I certainly hope that is not the case...
Frankly, I'm not satisfied yet with this piece...All the elements are there, and yet the 'birther' controversy that acted as genesis for the work is so blatantly absurd that it eludes my capture.
In my travels, I've been to the Sandwich Islands several times and apart from thoroughly enjoying my stays, found Hawaiians to be very proud and patriotic Americans - the very thought that this is some foreign isle populated with half-caste infidels is ludicrous, and the fact that grown men of power give such a vile rumor any credulity whatsoever may be the first sign that mere talk is no longer sufficient to curtail the nonsense.
Many scripts, many endings, fairlane - Of course, the political history concerned has several chapters written with a finger dipped in blood. All the more reason to be aware.

Hawaii, proud, blah blah blah, patriotic bling blang blung, it's still exotic. I mean, they actually enjoy Spam. Stop defending those commies, Dudley Do Right. ;-)
Klaatu Obama Nikto!
Not as exotic as Cleveland, o lover of the classics.
;>)
The only issue I have with this, and I hope I'm not nitpicking is that Klaatu gets capped by a hair triggered loon.

I find the big robot very disturbing. He may come in peace, but there's something about his expression... I think he means to bugger me!
Perhaps a case of the most terrifying words in the cosmos..."'I'm from Outer Space, and I'm here to help'", CJ?

Sorry, DCap - One of those foreign things.
