Great combo. Hawes had some issues (like H-related issues) and is/was sort of unknown but may have been one of the best bop pianists, IMHE--. Check the youtube of HH playing...Im all Smiles -- near zen perfection (however mangled the tune has been by ...diva-types)
Great tune, J - Carol Kaye, a contentious legend in her own right related fond memories of Mr. Hawes during his 'electric' period.
